I store my Fenix LD12s in their sheath with the clip on riding one side of the sheath, so I am curious whether pocket clips loose spring tension over time when stored for long periods of time in this fashion.
Generally no...malleable metals lose their "springiness" from repeated flexing. Leaving it stored like this will not cause it to become loose. Taking it in and out of the sheath may - although probably just marginally.
