many have bought one for modding purposes only i believe. i know that's the only reason i have mine(or a modded version). the light, stock, is pretty pathetic if you ask me. beam is horrible and almost useless. i have Lambda's modded version(only 4 made) called the Minilite. it has a 1 watt high dome Luxeon star in place of the xenon bulb. MUCH better! awesome little light now! beamshots can be found here for mine:

I just finished modding five for Christmas presents. Not too much work. Added a BadBoy 500, Q3 LS and NX05 optics. Only issue is the tail switch is kinda soft. Otherwise a nice looking pocket/purse light.
