I found and interesting lamp at a company called reflectalite. It is 2.2v/1.9A (4.2 watt) PR Halogen lamp. Put one in my Princeton Tec Tec-20 and it's very nice! Loads of light from a small package.

The PT20 is also available as the Aqua Flare with a removable "Glow Cone" instead of a rubber bezel guard. It is a tough little 2xAA diving light that is waterproof to 500 feet, light weight, and has a nice stippled reflector that produces a very smooth and pretty tight hot spot with good throw and plenty of spill. It typically costs $12 to $15, and combined with this lamp it makes a really nice, durable, and inexpensive EDC light.

Oh, and at 2.2v, this lamp can be driven very well from NiMh batteries. My PT20 is now as bright, if not brighter than my PT40 at half the size and weight. Nice!

Aloha, iG

PS: Reflectalite is in the UK, but they only charged me $2.90 for shipping, to Hawaii(!) and the order took less than a week to arrive.
