My opinions...
1 Good quality, brightness, good heat management, low weight, good throw.
2 The G25C2 has the same issues like other combined CR123/18650 lights: Regarding runtime, the CR123 are (for frequent usage) way too expensive and in my eyes a total waste of resources. With 18650s, the brightness decreases as soon as the voltage of the liion drops below that what the emitter needs. BUT: Because of an very efficient driver the brightness stays much longer "full high", compared to other similar lights. See runtime graphs. Take LG ICR18650D1 to have it on full brightness for most of the capacity (one needs to be a bit carefully with unprotected liions - but as the electronics indicate 2,9 V by flashing and the LGs have a rated lower voltage of 3 V you are at least half on the safe side).
This lanyard adapter is a very weak construction, nothing to really trust.
3 Flat tops where the upper plate is very wide - like redilast - will not work. Flat tops with a smaller plate - like the LGs - will work.
4 It is at least as bright as other XM-L U2s. Since the reflector is smooth - no orange pale - the center spot is getting relatively more light. Really impressive how far the light reaches. So it's a cute little thrower, but nothing for a walk at night where you need more side spill.
Ah, and I changed this -25% feature to -9%. It stays cool enough to power it without a break, at least outside walking around.
Hi Guys
i want to order this light and wanted to get some input from people who own this light.
1 is there anything you like or don't like about the light ?
2 Do you recommend using CR123's or 18650 is a must. i like to use CR123's and not deal with rechargeable. Wasn't sure if the CR123S will hold the power.
3 Can you use all the 18650's or there are some that don't work.
4 Is the light as bright as they claim it is ?
Thank you Guys
