Greetings all, just some very quick and dirty beamshots comparing the stock TN31 to the OSTS modded version

Humid night, some dust. Stock NW TN31 first. It's about 100 yards to the latrines...

The difference is more pronounced in real life. Ordered Oct. 22, Rec'd Nov. 19th. Included card from OSTS shows tested throw of 227. Hope this is helpful!

You are the first one to show both stock and the modded one. Great photos. Thanks.

If u could run these images on a loop, that'd be awesome! I was just considering selling my DEFT for one of these!

Thanks C.U.A.L., my computer is older so I don't know if your pictures are coming through very well. ( Spend all my spare coin on lights that's why ) LOL
But I got a bottom line question, after you played with and compared the 2 lights for a while, do you feel the modded TN31 is worth it ?

It's not your computer, my pics are really bad! (and too large, sorry, will resize tonight and try to work out how to make a loop?)

The modded one gets more of an advantage farther out than my phone can photograph.

The stock TN31 was a great surprise: I was expecting a Golf, it's an R32! But the modded TN31 is a BMW M3. No one needs the Bimmer, but you want one! :)

A very personal decision re: worth the premium. For me, the OSTS mod is the keeper. Never seen a flashlight that would throw a spot farther out than I'd slip a shot at night, but...this is it. So much tuning/attention to detail is required that mass-produced lights its size may never match it, at least not anytime soon.

Thanks C.U.A.L. Ever since this light appeared it's been on my radar. I have one of the original Deft's for about 5 years and it still drops my jaws. I use it almost every night (some of my neighbors think I'm nuts). It looks like I'm going to get this ( I'm going to step up to insane ) LOL
