Hello CPF, hope everyone had a happy Thanksgiving.
Im putting up a light engine I built for my haiku to free up some funds. Heres some info about it:
-Cree XML T5 bin, 5000K, 75 CRI great neutral tint.
-Brass heatsink to help with heat.
-Linear 2.8A driver runs on single Li-ion (high quality AW recommended)
-Brass battery contact for durability
-I programmed 5 modes firefly, moonlight, low, med, high (modes are very well spaced to my eye)
-.5 second mode memorization with hybrid style mode changing.
-Low battery ramp down maximizes runtime.
Now, the high mode should obviously be used with common sense, however it is absolutely stunning to see the haiku put out this much light on high! After a a few moments the head of the light starts to warm, so the heat is transferred to the lights housing well. Medium gives about the same amount of light as the stock light engine does on its highest setting. The lower low modes are the crown jewels in my opinion, the ones I use the most giving the Haiku much more versatility. It makes a great nightstand light now, which it could not do before, and will compete with an XML P60 drop in on high.

These are all taken with a cell phone camera for a ballpark reference only so do not judge the tint from them, but they actually show the output very well. Any questions please do not hesitate to ask me. I think $105 shipped via USPS sounds reasonable? Let me know otherwise. First ill take it in the thread trumps PM's. Sale is for the light engine only, haiku not included! = P
Have a great day!
