Heat in L4 with 2xCR123 vs. Pila 168s?

Does any of you who has experiences with L4 on rechargeables know if it gets hotter to handle when run (for 50 min. or so) on Li-ion (Pila 168s) than when run on Li (2xCR123)?

Yes the L4 does run a bit hotter when run on the LiIon cell as it draws about 1.5 times more current using the lower voltage cell.

Yes I see what you mean, but isn't the voltage across the dc-dc converter lower with the 168s and thereby being more efficient?
