While waiting on the machine shop to finish the new heatsinks for these, I decided to whip up a quickie P60 module with a my new driver and LED combo.

LED: Cree XML U3 special edition on copper PCB. LED-TECH
Driver: 5A custom, 3 level.
Brass pill 17mm, and 26mm smo reflector
Host : Solarforce L2P

Very encouraging initial test results from this module.

The initial beamshot test is against a Nailbender XML U2 module on Hi. Indoors and during the daytime.

Identical IMR battery and identical host.

Nailbender on the left. Mine on the right.

I will say this. Out of All the P60 style drop-ins I have bought and tested, and out of All the production 1 lithium lights that I have had. This thing RULES!

I took a bunch of lights out last night for comparison and was very nearly blown away by the difference.

More testing and pictures to come!

Hey Hitman!

Nice looking drop in. I have a 5A high solder filled XM-L drop in from Vin that outputs 1000+ lumens. It's awesome.

My understanding is that heat dissipation will be your key challenge. Good luck and keep us posted!
