Head on EDC AAA way too loose

I carry a 4sevens Preon Revo on my keychain. The head is way too loose. Sometimes I take the keys out of my pocket and the light is on. If I loosen the head more (to prevent accidental turn-on), then it is likely to fall off.

I thought maybe I could clean the threads and use a thick grease.

Any suggestions or recommendations?

Thanks.

You might also try some Teflon tape on the threads. That would add a little more thickness to the threads, but still allow for smooth twisting.

use silicone grease on the threads AND the o-ring

Before I knew better, I used Vaseline on one of my lights and it expanded the o-ring. Except now, it's my favorite o-ring and keeps the head on my light nice and tight (silicone lube since). Not sure how repeatable it is, but I was recently thinking I should make some more fat o-rings for a few other lights. I got spares in case it doesn't work.

I'm using Krytox for thread lube. Some CPFers gave favorible reports for it.

The AAA is either an Eneloop or Eveready Lithium. Same behavior with either.

I thought about using Teflon tape to stiffen the turning a bit, but wouldn't that interrupt the electrical path?

Replacing the O-ring is a good idea. Get one the same diameter, but thicker. Anyone know the diameter of the O-ring for the Preon Revo?
