Currently the Nichia 219 is the most popular High CRI LED.
It is available in a wide variety of flashlights.
If you like a floody 219, you might consider the Peak LED Solution models which are available in a " 219 mule"(wide flood) configuration in various battery sizes with or without the infinitely variable brightness QTC control.

There are other LEDs which have higher CRI, but they are not widely used for various reasons. Perhaps availability of them is too limited, or they are too expensive for any kind of production numbers.

I would note that the 219 in a floody light is known to offer fairly low overall brightness which might be construed as "weak" by many people, and this limits the popularity. It has a specialized application for wide area, but close-up activity, mostly.
It would be best to experience that before buying, to avoid disappointment.
But not all 219 applications are for wide flood, and they can be used in narrower flood type lights where they appear to have relatively normal overall brightness. They are not often found in many thrower lights, if any at all.

What is the latest king of High CRI.

Is there something out there better than the Zebralight H502d?
It depends on what you mean by "better". I've never really considered the Zebralight H502 "high CRI" because it's only around the 85 range, but some people prefer its cooler tint. For my money, the HDS high CRI offerings are currently tops with a lovely 3700K tint and a CRI of 90+. Plus, they're just great flashlights no matter what emitter is in them.

I don't like warm lights at all.

Ideally for me, I'd like 5600 degrees Kelvin i.e. photographic daylight.

Sounds like I should be looking for something with a Nichia 219.
Maybe a Peak LED Mule is for me.

Nichia 219 is 4500K.

I don't like warm lights much, either.
But I do have one light at 4500K, and I can live with that, although it has a definite peachy/brownish tint to it that is visible.
I would prefer to have lights which do not deviate off the visibly white, into any tint that shows a color, whether it be blue, purple, green, yellow, peach, brown, or whatever.
