So, after researching fenix lights compulsively this week I am now the proud ownder of LD12, LD22, with a TK35 being shipped via UsPs (should get the tk35 on monday) Love the LD12 and LD22. Am so dang excited for the TK35 to arrive. You know the feeling ? Has anyone been stupid enough to look into the turbo beam of the TK35, just for a nano second ? Does 860 Lumens lighting up your cranium make you "enlightened" ? wooooooooot. Blessings to you all.

I love my TK35, I always have a little smile when I turn it on :)

It's a nice balance between flood and throw.

What...no PD32 ultimate edition?? As a Fenix fan myself, the PD32 UE is the best Fenix IMO.

Go into a dark bathroom and shine a bright light into your mouth. You can see your eye sockets glow. Does that count?

Congrats! Love Fenix lights, excellent safe bet a great place to "start". You'll know you have a problem when you start hiding the lights in different rooms and different places to conceal the truth of how many you own from the wife. :sssh:

Little flashlight buying spree......eeeeeeeeahhhhhh

This week i bought fenix ld12/fenix ld22 and (Tk35 in tranist via usps). Cant wait to see the eye searing beauty of the tk35, does it really cause eye damage if you just glance at it on turbo ? I'm sure looking forward to being enlightened by it and maybe pranking my neighbor who lives 2 doors down from me (shining tk35 at 860 looms at his tree) . Am very happy with the Ld12/22. Just cant wait for the mail on monday for the tk35. I think i might be a flash-aholic. Blessings

I do not have that problem, I have so many lights around the house that a new one or three shouldn't occasion a comment. Just so long as she does not realize how much they cost.

Hehe if money is no prob for me then yes I'd buy a whole lot. I just bought the Fenix PD32UE (U should get it - i called it my lil monster hehe) not so long ago like 2 weeks? Now I'm wanting to buy my first Titanium light - Eagletac d25A. If I have more money I'd buy both D25C and D25A but I dont have much money. These flashlights are very expensive here in Malaysia. Perhaps the flashlights are only sold by exclusive dealers. And usually those stores that specialised in outdoor/recreation supplies. Still didnt stop me from gettin my collection of flashlights.

I bought an LD10 about 4 years ago; That thing completely changed my view on what a good flashlight is. I have beat the crap out of that thing: anything from extreme cold use for long periods to accidentally dropping it on concrete. Not to mention the beam pattern is so beautiful and the UI is too good for EDC use. I can only imagine the LD12 is only better. Also I've got a TK11. I don't get as much use out of this, but the beam pattern is perfect for tactical/home defense use. Or if I explore abandoned buildings/caves, it comes in handy. I have always wanted to try out the old nitecore ez signle AA, twist UI lights. Although I don't think they're made anymore. Also I'm interested to EDC any of the Maratac AA lights. Countycomm.com is a great EDC shop, if someone hasn't been there yet; they deal Maratac.

I did look into my TK40 held at arm's length for a nano second when I got it. It hurt like hell and my eyes were watery for a half hour.

I read many many reports, did many many stupid things and what I have to say is the obvious:ever look at the sun for a second or two? It hurts, but you still see just fine. I blinded myself too many times with a flashlight to believe it does. It can hurt like hell, though...

Seriously, don't look directly into a strong flashlight beam especially at close range...you CAN do serious damage. If the light is strong ENOUGH, you CAN be permanently blinded for example. Maybe not with a Fenix, but if its a Night Sword, well, even shining it into your mouth might kill you.

Took 4 years before someone finally got it!

Actually, what I said goes for all LED lights on the market so far (except specialized UV LEDs) and regular household bulbs (I'm not touching the supposed energy saving bulbs with a 10 foot pole for every single other reasons, but they should not harm your eyes more than a regular neon light). Don't EVER look into an HID or arc lamp. Those emit a LOT of UV (especially arc lamps) and CAN do damage. I remember a picture of one of the custom builders who had a sunburn on his arm from just checking if his new arc lamp worked fine for like a second.
