The Arc LS is one of my favorite lights, and I have always enjoyed keeping them up to date with modern LEDs. I have recently received several requests for a higher power mod on the Arc LS, and decided to make a triple LED drop-in to upgrade the empty hosts that both myself and others have collected over the years. Here are a few pictures of the module that I had machined, and the clean build of the final drop-in.

The stages of the module build, with an Arc LS and empty LS3 host.

The bare machined can for the drop-in module. The hole is for the screw which secures the ground wire to the inside of the module.

The can with the LED board and driver installed. This module is using XP-G2 LEDs and a 3-level AMC7315 regulator board.

The module with the Carlco narrow optic installed. The optic needs to have the diameter reduced from 20mm to about 19mm in order to fit into the head of the Arc without binding. This module is using XP-G2 LEDs and a 3-level AMC7315 regulator board.

The business end of the completed Arc LS triple. This module used Nichia 219 LEDs and a 3-level AMC7315 regulator board.

Thanks for looking at my build.

5% low level. (The 30% medium level picture looked very much like the low, so it was omitted.)

Love your work :) a question coming, the triple xpg board you only have two wires to the board, if the cell is a single imr16340 and driver is a 2.8amp would each led get a third of the 2.8amps? I was expecting more wires!

You are correct. The LEDs are wired in parallel, and each LED is getting 1/3 of the current.

Very good looking mod. I like rare lights like the Arc LS with unconventional colors like green.
It is nice that you are updating old platforms to new LEDs/drivers.

Do you have any outdoor shots?

Thank you.

No outdoor beam shots. I couldn't get outdoor beam shots the night that I posted the photos because of rain, and I didn't think about it again until you mentioned it. I have since sold the light, but will try to get some outdoor beam shots of my next triple Arc build.
