Can't put any grip rings in it? I have a stock light coming but totally smooth does not work for me.

Cool. Is it possible to taper/bevel the head and tail like the tailcap there?

This is a stock V10R Titanium battery tube that was machined smooth. It only fits CR123 sized cells.
