I have been buying flashlights for a few years now but I'm quite the tenderfoot when its comes to modding them. I have a dereelight javlin with the smo reflector and xr-e (ez900 q5) emitter. I would like to swap the xr-e out for the new xp-e2 emitter but wanted to know if its just an easy swap or will i have driver and reflector issues?
I also have an old l2d fenix xr-e (q5) that i would like to swap the emitter for a xp-e2 as well.
I am looking to get more throw as well as a small project to build some confidence in my flashlight modding abilities. Any input would be appreciated!
