What happened with Surefire, using one bezel design in most of 2013 "new" lights? (LX2,E2D,E1L,E2L,E2LAA,X weaponlight series,miniscout,LM,LMG shotgun lights)

Love the Zoolander reference.

And to answer your question, probably laziness. They found a nice looking bezel and just ran with it instead of pushing the envelope.

Therein lies the danger of resting on your laurels...if you're the "market leader" you should push the envelop to get out of sight from your competitors. I have seen many a company's demise because of this exact direction & attitude

Too bad for SF, but they're not alone. Seems like other "market leaders" (e.g. M@g-Lite) keep selling yesterday's technology, yet still making huge profits.

Or perhaps because their basic customer is the military they just don't care about style anymore. Thank god the old-school ones are still around
