Presenting flashlights in display case? AND how to build a stand?

Hi there,

I've got a glass case with different levels and I own a lot of flashlights (mostly Surefire).
I want to present those in the case.
But I worry, that it will be unstable (if someone accidently nudge the case).

I have found this:

My case is not that big. Where can I get these stands?

Edit:
I found knife stands. Could I use these?

The stand in the picture could be bought from a shopfitters,in the UK that would probably cost you hundreds of pounds as that is a professional built unit and is made to withstand a busy retail life.Track down a shopfitters in your country.

Many many small family companies will turn to the likes of Ikea and the pictured case can be had for £40.

No no .. I already have the display case (like that one on your pic).
I only need a method, to present the flashlight without any worry, that they could damage, if someone accidently nudges the case).

Ok i understand now but the answer is still the same.Go to a shopfitting company as that is what they do,they sell goods to display retail product be it a shirt or a flashlight.

Another way round it and quite easy,go to a wood/metal person and get some made in a wood/metal color of your choice.

The Stands are New & MADE IN THE U.S.A.
They Measure 2-3/8" H X 2-1/4" W X 2-1/4" D Display area 1" Fits up to 6" Item

It should fit all of my lights.
10 stands cost around $25 incl. shipping to Germany.

I have a new idea.
With a sheet of polycarbonate I could build my own stand. I just have to drill holes in it with the right size and angle.
I heat up the sheet to mold a flat surface. It should be the best and most inexpensive way.
When the sheet is wide enough I can place a huge among of lights on it.
Could this work (with the right thickness of the sheet)?

It may look like this:

My display lights sit behind me in a lighted bookcase in my home office.

I use an acrylic , 3 tiered, spice rack/shelf that my wife found at bed, bath and beyond.

It looks way cool.

Alright.
I found this one:

See Rule #3 Do not Hot Link images. Please host on an image site, Imageshack or similar and repost. The image was also way oversize.– Thanks Norm

The compartments have approx 1.26" x 1.26".
So it might fit with P-heads aswell as E-Series etc.

To elaborate on Houtex's suggestion for display ideas, check google images search engine with permutations of the following keywords:

acrylic|plexiglass
display|presentation
holder|stand|easel

Cheers,

Thanks!

What do you think about the "lipstick" stand I posted?
I like the idea, that the lights have they own place. If someone touchs it, the lights will not fall.

Re: How to present flashlights in display case?

I ordered two lipstick stands and nearly all my lights fit in nicely.
Pictures are coming soon!

I have a M3LT in order.
So I need a stand, that this beauty deserves!
It must be designed, that the stand holds the light on the tail cap (as you can see in the display case from my first post).
Otherwise I have to make my own stand ...

Plucking your picture's url http://www.morgandepot.com/images/AC1769.jpg into Google "Search by image" engine will return about ten potential sources for your wanted item.

Not bad. Looks more like an organizer rather than a display. For a display it should be more spaced out in my opinion. The lights are all too bunched together.

I managed to get a two tier one from Led Lenser - not what I would call perfect or useful. Torches I believe should be kept in a dry, dark location away from UV and other airborne factors like perfumes and the like which could affect rubbers and clickies.

I know. It's better than nothing. It is OK for presentation.
I'm working on a better display (using magnets ;))
If someone finds a suitable display, (still) let me know!
