What happens when you put a 1AA body on a Quark Tactical QT2A

It is safe. I guess you would pretty much turn it into a QTA since they do sell a single aa version of that light.

Quark has two voltage heads, the low voltage which is AA,2aa, and cr123
and a high voltage 2 cr123.

with your voltage head, the output will be lower on 1aa runtimes will be lower on the lower modes but the high mode runtime will be close to the same, just less output

I bought a 2AA and a 1AA body, I run the head with the 1AA body and a 14500. Nice and compact, and the little extra length is better for me than the 123 body

Your max mode will get dimmer with similar runtime, all other modes will be same brightness as 2AA but less runtime. Assuming AA cells, not 14500 Li-ion.
