I was looking for a driver that can take up to 3 li-ion so ~12.6 Vin max and puts out 3-3.5a to drive one XM-L2. I found one that drives to 5A but it seems like too much.

Yes but I was hoping to over drive the XM-L2 a bit, maybe to 3.5 or 4a if heat buildup isn't too bad. Its going in a D mag so size isnt a big issue.
