What would the beam be like if you put a MN16 lamp into the std (non-turbo) head & reflector assy? It appears the bulb base is just a little longer than the MN11.
Would it yield more throw or more flood?

TIA if anybody wants to give it a try and report back!

Don't try it. It doesn't work.

The TurboHead Lamp Assemblies can not be fully inserted into the M3 Bezel because the hole into the reflector is only just big enough to fit the bulb through, and not the whole 'post' thing on top of which the bulb is mounted.

Screwing an MN15/16 onto an M3 body, inside an M3 Bezel causes nasty compression of the spring contacts and may even damage batteries and springs/Lamp Assemblies.

I've just forced the MN16 to light in the M3 bezel by just managing the bezel to screw onto the M3 body by a tiny amount of thread - the beam is very wide and poor quality at about 2 metres range.

I hope this helps.

Best regards,

Al
