If I put a Malkoff M61LL in a Surefire 9P, will it last 15 hours instead of 10, or be 150 lumens instead of 100?

Thanks in advance

I haven't done it with an LL model, but with my M60 the run time is approximately 50% longer with the 3 cells.
So, I would say yes, that you'll see something on the order of that. You'll have to do the run time test to know exactly what you'll get.
It won't get brighter, it will just run longer.

As for brightness, like twl said, still 100 lumens... but due to less amperage draw from 3-cell config compared to 2-cell config, you will see about 55% more runtime or few minutes more...

I tried my M61LL in a MD3, it will be the same as 9P. The output is around 100lm, actually it's a bit lower with 2 cells.

For giggles, try putting 2xAA batteries in your 9P. It's a nice option to have if you happen to run out of 123s.

The 9P-M61NLL combination is a great long runtime setup. I have one in my "walking 19 miles home from work after the big earthquake pack". I hope to never need it.
