    Default Size of reflectors?

My knowledge of reflectors isn't too great and the only thing that I know is the difference between a smooth & orange peel reflector.

However i noticed that there are some modders who place their emitter very close to the glass & the reflector is almost non-existent.

So I am wondering if anyone has the knowledge on the effects that the different kinds of reflectors will cause, eg height of emitter inside the reflector, angle of reflector etc..

    Thank you!

The more light that hits a reflector, the more beam it controls. (Deep reflector especially).
The smoother and more-parabolic the reflector is, the more-focused its beam will be.

Small reflectors and large sources are conducive to less throw.
Large reflectors and small sources are conducive to more throw.
Orange-peel (stipple) or facets reduce throw and improve beam smoothness.
Optics seem to give more control over spot/spill ratio than reflectors do.

There's plenty more to read on this.
