My trusty Olight i2. It's served me very well. This thread is not to bash anyone, it's simply to show an interesting failure.
I've already contacted my retailer for possible warranty work. Pictures do all the talking.

Nitecore I think in the past has had this happen too on at least one of their lights, it could be caused by undersized tolerances or from the wrong material used. When aluminum is milled pretty thin and happens to be a region that is torqued during normal operation [close to the threads for example] stuff like this happens

If you don't mind elaborating, exactly how did this happen?

Did you drop the light or step on it or something? Can't see how the head would split like that unless some kind of stress was applied to the light.
