Hello,
impressed by some pics I found in forums about lights with aspherical lenses and their
brightness I decided to build such a light. Here are the parts for the light:
Ultrafire host and 109 led light (that they fit I found in the internet, not my idea- if you
find your idea here, please post, thank you!) 75mm aspherical lens, XP-G2 R5, 8*7135 driver:

In this pic you see the big head, threads rasped down- 75mm lens rasped down to fit:

XP-G2 R5 led glued to pill, downside a "generic" 8*7135 driver (measured 2,9A):

Where did you get the aspheric lens from? Any idea what the lux is? With a 75mm lens and an xpg2 it must be pretty high! Can the xpg2 survive 3amps? Too many questions I am sure! Lovely build and glad to see you showing another creation!

@ wolfy: sorry no idea in real meters, but this thing produces really a heavy beam- a friend will mesaure with a luxmeter- if weather gets better (foggy and snowing outside) I will find out about beam distance..
@ lucca brassi: first intention was, to build on low costs- very good idea to use better lens, where can I get them?
@ fortean101: thanks, I still have no luxmeter, but I will give the light to a friend who has one... The XP-G2 can handle 3amps with good cooling- For this light it works without problems. Yes, lens is the DX one.
@ Blitzwing: thanks :)

best regards,
Steffen

Frensel condenser lens

Like to have something like that for underwater but it is too big and dont't know how it really works in murky water ( till now I work with big lumens through aspherics , but like to have small die ....? )

is the lens from Dx the 75 or 78mm. I ordered the 75 a while ago but when it showed up it was too big and measured 78mm. Luckily I had access to a silicon carbide grinding wheel and just ground the edge a touch.
