8AX/8NX Turbohead ...

Does anyone own a KT-5 Turbohead for the SF 8AX? I see them for sale and am wondering if they will fit on a SF 8NX.

Also, I have heard that the new Turboheads do not allow as tight a beam as the older models. Anyone have some beamshots?

The KT-5 provides and incredibly tight perfectly round spot with little spill over. True, it does not provide as tight a beam as the old 3" but it's still worth it. It has the "orange peel" reflector now so the beam is smoother now. It really has to be seen to appreciate it.

I have the KT5.
Yes, it does fit the 8NX

There are four TurboHeads that can be used with the "KT5" collar and the N5 Lamp.

I usually have a "T" 3" TurboHead on my 8NX although the SRTH works pretty well too.

I think TurboHeading the 8NX produces surprising and significant differences that few know can be obtained. This is a shame because the N5 lamp beam is really rather good as TurboHead beams go.

Yes, #19 is an 8NX-BK with T5 TurboHead and F47 Blue BeamFilter.
