I would never use a rechareable battery in a weapon light. Also some of my friends while we were deployed tried using lights supplied by CR2 batteries & switched back to lights using 2-CR123 due to reliability & runtime due to battery type. This is life or death situations I speak of. At home I have a Viridian X5L that uses 1 CR123 & I am not satisified with the runtime for that so I pretty much only use a 2 cell weapon light & laser. No rechargeables.
