I just bought a G3L and I'm curious if anyone's ever tried the SF P60L LED dropin using a pair of lithium AA batteries and how much runtime I could expect?

Also, I didn't know that the P60L could handle 9 volts? I'm actually not positive that this is the dropin in this light, did they make a seperate LED dropin for the 3 cell lights?

Not sure if there was a P90L, if its a stock dropin for the g3 it may not light up with 2aa's.

I know a lot of people love running a Malkoff M30 or M61LL dropin on 2aa batteries. Not sure if Malkoffs work in the Nitrolon Surefires

The P60L works fine in 3 cell lights (9.0 V).

P60L was rated for 6-9v and was designed as a "drop-in" LED replacement for P60/P61/P90/P91 lamps.

The P60L will work with 2xAA, but unsure of run time. If you have a multimeter take a reading of the tailcap draw and it'll give you an idea.
