What makes maglite's an "American" product?

i noticed today they say "American manufacture" on the package. But what is the catch?

I know the mini mag xenon bulbs are made in Germany.

The bodies, switches (hopefully,) heads and tails are all American made. The bulbs are foreign and some of the gaskets are foreign. That is why it does NOT say "Made in USA" on the packaging. Rather, it says "A USA Manufacturer" or something like that. I know the 2 AAA bi pin bulbs at one point were made in Hong Kong. I think the LED engines (Cree) are made in either china or South Korea, but I am not sure. I hope one day all of Mag's parts are American made. Apple is bringing their manufacturing back here and it's been said that Apple is "the Maglite of computers." That is just some wishful thinking.
