Last week I finally broke down and bought a 2003 CPF edition AAA. I opened it in my office and shined it and my standard edition AAA under my workstation. It was nice, maybe a bit brighter, maybe the hot spot wasn't so blue, but I was happy because of the great finish and the CPF engraving.
Last night I used it in a completely dark room. It's very noticeably brighter than the standard, a bit whiter, but the thing that really made me say Wow was the sharp edge to the flood part of the beam -- it made a great big circle on the wall, just like a theatrical spotlight.
Once on this forum someone mentioned a child commenting "how do they get all that light in there?" Well, how do they?
