Help - Facebook Page for Businesses

My company is managing a Facebook page but it doesn't seem to get updated often enough. Why? Because I'm the one doing it and it's a PITA since they make me use a separate computer in another room that isn't connected to our network (security concerns). And the computer is SLOOOOW. To make matters even worse, I have to constantly move files to a flash drive and it's just not efficient; I have a lot of other work to do during the day.

What advice can you guys offer to try and convince our IT department Facebook is OK to run on my computer? Or are they 100% correct that Facebook is a security issue?

I tried to ask other related companies around town but I am getting no response from them (they think I'm cold-calling trying to tell something or just don't care to help).
