I would say neither as flashlights account for a very miniscule total of the market for LEDs and Batteries.
The topic is when more flashlight is sold and not comparing with other object.

Flashlights would account for a negligible percentage of aluminum production. In the US alone, over 4 billion pounds of aluminum sheet is rolled annually, just for beverage cans! (roughly equivalent in weight to 16 billion Surefire 6P flashlight bodies).
The flashlight manufacturers, collectively, would be realizing the largest share of profits from increased sales of flashlights.
Is it, ok. Most of my batteries from panasonic, dont see much samsung cells in 14500 or 18650 size.

Agreed 100%. Flashlights account for a negligible percentage of xxxxxxxx (insert whatever) production.
