Is there a 2000 plus lumen flashlight out there that is the size of the surefire fury?

It depends on what you mean. If you mean a single 18650 powered light that puts out 2k+ lumens, its a short list for sure...short enough that I can't recall a single example at the moment at least. :D

If they can be shorter than a fury, but maybe a bit fatter, then the list gets a lot longer.

A ZebraLight S6330 for example is less than 4" long, but ~ 2,700 L.

Searching the internet with Google for "Lux RC FL-33-T70" with the quotes only finds one match and that is a post by you in the "Most Perfect All-Round Flashlight?" thread. What is this magical, mysterious light that you are referring to?

Regarding the OP, nothing came to mind as far as production lights. Perhaps a quad P60 drop-in with the latest emitters driven with an IMR 18650?

As previously mentioned, while not nearly as slim as a Fury, the Zebralight S6330 is pretty small for a quality light that puts out over 2000 lumens. I really like mine.

It looks like the new to be released Nitecore may reach 1000 lumens on a single 18650 battery!

Is that the most lumens on a single battery?

A 5.6A Quad XP-G2 should come very close to 2000Lumens on an IMR 18650, but I don't know if anybody is making them. The current Oveready Pocket does 1600 Lumens on 2x18350s for a light about the same size as a Surefire Fury. A direct drive XM-L2 on an 18650 will hit around 1300 Lumens in a P60 host and is probably the cheapest route to a very high lumen light.

Google Lux-RC, they are a Russian light maker, only making one light, the FL33. However, it has a huge variety of options, and it is not cheap so not to many around.

No, the LUX-RC FL33 T70 hits 2000+ on an 18650.

The hyphens made all the difference. I searched the way you typed it and found the manufacturer's page.

A whois lookup found this:

Does anybody here actually have one of their lights? The FL33-T70 is expected to ship in the second quarter of 2013 according to their page.

Don't know anyone who has, but many people on here have them.
I think $500+ is a bit much for a non-precious metal torch, but maybe it's just me?

If you ask vinhNyugen nicely to make you an MTG2 p60 dropin, using two cells (16340 or 18350) that'll get you 2000+ lumens in a head smaller than the Fury

I have an FL33-50C that I bought about six months ago. Mine runs on a single 18500 and the specs quote "up to 900 lumens". I wasn't on a lumen hunt when I bought it, so I haven't done any detailed comparisons with some of my other lights of similar output. Having said that, it's definitely very bright. I posted a few pictures of it here.
