I see Fred is expanding on the pyramid idea, which is great as the grip this design offers would be second to none, but at the same time perplexing because it would be so time consuming....

Fred - all you're going to do is get people wanting this more and more!

I wasn't happy with the anodizing of the light and decided to change the color and hopefully improve the evenness of the coloring, too.

Here is the result--almost done, but some further polishing of the bare Ti is needed before it will be done. The single-stage LE works just fine and the XM-L driven at 1.5A is darn bright.

Yes, I deliberately sanded down the light after anodizing, to highlight the high spots and help reveal the pattern a bit. They would have worn down eventually, if the light were actually used.

It is a twisty and takes an AW18650 Lithium-ion battery. Yes, it will be offered through the mailing list, eventually. I was hoping to offer three lights at once, but I'm waiting for a new driver to arrive before I can finish the Tungsten AA light:

Holy trinity, Batman!
Fred, you are for sure the Pharaoh's favorite photon-provider... :D As much as that TiPy rocks, I have a soft spot for that Tower of Tungsten*

*p.s. You need to line up those pyramids for the next shot for your OCD friends :tinfoil:
