Hello, i just had some questions about safty & the electrode.

Is it at all safe to touch electrode without ceramic insulator when light is operating? What if the bare electrode touches the reflector or even the plastic bulb it self? can the high voltage go into the reflector & cause a shock?

I'm not going to touch the electrode, but i would like to know. I did some searching & could not find any info on this. thanks.

Any time you touch any part of a live high voltage circuit you risk shock, not to mention the heat that hid bulbs generate.

thanks, i tried removing top part of ceramic to avoid the shadow in the light. But as i walk with light it now moves out of place up and down out of the plastic bulb housing, so could probably send a shock through the bulb & the light?
