FENIX TK11 problem

My TK11 will not turn on. It will briefly flash while I am pushing the clicky, but it will not stay on. The flash occurs at some in-between point of travel, not after the click. I cannot get it to hold right there and stay on. Sometimes it will flash in a similar way when I am removing/replacing the tailcap.

I have tested various batteries that are all proven in this unit previously.
I replaced the clicky, $20, and the new one behaves exactly the same way.

Any thoughts appreciated!

Make sure the retaining ring in the tailcaps are tight. Also try cleaning all the contacts and threads and see if that helps.

Try a paper clip from the back of the battery to the body without the tailcap as a quick test to rule out an issue with the tailcap. Good luck!

Tail has been disassembled and reassembled multiple times, can do it in the dark now. Cleaned all threads, triple-checked fit.
Removed the head and cleaned everything I could see. Does Fenix use some graphite up there? Everything fits good. No change.

The paper clip does not give me constant on. I have to scratch around the body and sometimes the light will flicker, just like operating the clicky.

Thanks!

Sounds like you have a positive contact problem. Call me crazy, but...

Will you please get a battery holder for the right batteries and jumper to the flashlight's contacts?

Hey apple, thanks.
Not sure what you mean.
I need an outboard battery holder, and connect that to my flashlight contacts?
Can you link me to a product so I can see what you mean?
Thanks.

Hey Apple
I can't find a battery holder for CR123 x2 batteries
Can I fake it?
Thanks!
