Nice white low domes-any such thing?

I'm new to the modding thing and just working on LED knowledge, thanks to all here.

Since I like the flood pattern of low domes and not the color variations, is there a Holy Grail of white LD's or do I have to live with the tints?

In the Low Domes, I would just go after a Q3-J,K,L ETC. As I understand it, tint variation is more of a problem with the LDs than the HDs.

I've not heard of hardly anybody being unhappy with the Q3x as far as tint is concerned. My own Q3 is about as white as I can Imagine I'll ever need.

Actually my Q3's tint looks a little like an incandescent with a warm tone (not yellow, though), until I hold it lit -next to a xenon incandescent, and then the xenon looks horribly yellow in comparison to the snow white output of my Q3 Luxeon /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/icon15.gif
