You can buy a 200yd thrower for 1/10 that cost. A Ultrafire C8 with a XML U2 or U3 will throw a good 300+ yards and cost about $15. Now if you are trying to find a quality light with awesome throw in your mentioned $100-150 range - one of the best choices would be a Thrunite TN31. The newest XM-L2 version will throw about 800 yards and can be had for under $150 if caught on sale.
