After quite a long time from the flashlight world to study as a pharmacy tech, I've got a few time in my hands to do this mod. The mod came out quite well and smoother than what most folks claim. Special thanks to vinnyguen for the tip how to remove the pill without damaging anything else.
How it was done...Simply take a heat gun and heat this SOB to 500 degrees Fahrenheit for 30 seconds. This will soften the glue inside.
To my surprise, it came out as a whole unit. Did not have to remove anything or re-assemble any of the circuit boards. The hard part is the black, plastic isolator/centering disc. It's machined to fit over the MPCB tightly and center it for the reflector.
Once removed, just de-flow the stock emitter off an re-flow the XP-G2 or emitter of your choice on.

Stock pill that barely came out of the bezel. Noticed that it's a complete unit when pulled out:
I like it so far. Not noticeably brighter but the CCT is much more acceptable by my eyes.
