What event happened on 3-12-2008 to cause - "Most users ever online 2,317" - on CPF?

My wife and I went out to dinner that night, as a late birthday present to me. I know that doesn't make much sense, as I joined CPF in May of 2009, but I think that a CPF member saw us and logged on to tell their friends, who then logged on to tell their friends.

I guess what I'm saying is, I don't know.

Maybe a new flashlight, or flashlight company, came out very close to that date?

I think it was Jan of 2008 when I got my Surefire e1b not long after it came out. I bought my two stage e2dl a month later. It was a happening time in the world of flashlights and led technology!

I am not 100% sure but I think that it was the day when my friends realized that I had finally joined CPF.

Of course, it could be just one big coincidence, too... :shrug:

Something is messed up on that original post in the Fury thread. The next one isn't until three years later-Fury came out in ~2011.
