Hi, I have a few of the PD line lights. The logical placement to me, while holding it in the 'tactical position'(hand gripped over the top, with the thumb resting on the tailcap switch), is that the mode switch button lines up with the tail cap's dips in such a way that the dips in the tailcap allow your thumb to depress the rubber boot without being restricted by the crowns of the tailcap. My new PD32 G2 has this setup. Basically, see this image: http://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0192/4216/products/DSC_2764_large.png
On two, the PD22 XP-G and PD32 UE, the raised or crowned part of the tailcap line up with the mode switch button. This makes pressing in the on/off rubber boot switch at the tailcap a bit harder. Like this: http://www.fenixlighting.com/Portals/0/Images/Fenix-PD32UE-flashlight-side.jpg
My question is, is this the same for everybody else? Or is the alignment random? What alignment do you prefer, if any?
You may think it's trivial, but I hope it's by design that the newer PD32 G2 is aligned the way it is, to allow easier activation while holding it tactically .
