Good light for modding?

It's very similar to the Crelant 7G5 V2 but the pill design makes me nervous about modding for more output. Noticed how the pill does not make contact to the bezel? It seems to be lightly threaded into the body but why does the bezel needs a thread on the inside where the pill (non-threaded) will seat?

If someone has this light, feel free to chime in. I'm just basing this off the pictures shown.
