Pelican M6/Streamlight TLR1 Incandescent Upgrade?

Hi Folks – I've been lurking this forum for some time but have never posted.

But now I have a question:

I have an old school Pelican M6 (non-LED), and while it's a great light, newer LEDs leave it in the dust performance-wise.

Is there a simple way (I'm a bit do-it-yourself challenged) to upgrade the M6 to a high-power LED, or to use the base components of the Pelican to construct a Frankenlight that would be closer to current spec?

And while we're talking upgrades...
Can the old Streamlight TLR1 Incandescent Weapon Light be similarly upgraded?
