Yeah that's the PD22G2 head - so now I can save some on the battery cost - the output on Eneloop 2500 is fantastic - I just ordered the Q2P 2AA tube that would double the output - so the bottom line to me is that the LD12-XPG2 is a very good buy.

LoL awesome, I wonder what else threads in between these two companies. Does the quark head work on the Fenix body?

I now have an LD20 with my extra AA^2 tube and the Quark head works great with the LD10 body.

I just wish my Quark Turbo head fit the PD32 body.. :(

Care to explain what you have pictured here, or are we supposed to have been gifted with this knowledge through divine inspiration?!?

It's already been explained... A Fenix head on a Quark body.

This is what I found using my LD10 head. Not 100% sure about the LD12 head. But this has been how Fenix has worked in the past.

The 2xAA configuration works with NiMh. I tried a 14505 (CR123 in a AA form factor) in a single AA tube and lost low mode until the voltage got down to 3.0 volts. also Energizer Lithium AA will lose low mode when used in a 2xAA tube.

Is the high/turbo mode brighter using 2AA?

EDIT: I got a chance to tried with 2AA, the brightness doesn't seem to increase at all or at least not much. Does this mean it provides longer runtime since the brightness didn't increase much?

Also, LD12 and Quark AA tail cap are not interchangeable. The LD12 head fits the Quark AA/2AA body, but the Quark head does not fit the LD12 body.
