I was looking at my friends surefire 6pX defender he got about 2 months ago and it looks like a Gen2 cree emitter. Does anyone know what emitter surefire is using now? I read they were using the xr-e but this emitter was defiantly a Gen 2 and i dont think cree has come out with there xr-e2 yet. it has an all silver top with a small hole in one of the corners. It looks exactly like the XM-L2 just a little smaller. Also what is the surefire 6px color? this light looks more white/yellow then my xm-l2 u2.

That's pretty cool, I never thought they'd use a nichia. Now if they could just get the bin and tint we all know and love ;)

That's interesting, I have both a Streamlight Protac HL & the G2X-dual mode in tan.

The Protac HL is a XML I believe and has a bluer tint than the G2X. It takes some getting used to for me, but I'm starting to like the tint of the G2X better. Never thought that they would use a Nichia.
