Looks like the center post in the head is wearing thru from the positive battery post. I really like this light too. Any suggestions on fixing it ? :duh2:

Contact foursevens they should fix it under warranty.

I almost suggested just building it back up with a carefully applied solder blob, but FourSevens is one of the industries standout companies when it comes to taking care of issues with its lights.

I recently solved that problem on a modded light. I used low temp solder paste to solder on a small copper disk on the positive contact. No more wear issues and the light now works with flat top cells.

What year is your light? Just curious as I just looked at my mini aa after reading this and it has a fairly thick pad there for the + post. It looks like it would take quite a while to wear it down even with pretty heavy use, just curious if this is maybe something they improved in the later ones.

Can you post a pic? I noticed some wear the other day on my quark and am curious what yours is like.
