I got a Nichia 219 in the mail today and when I swapped it in a p60 that was running an xpg i noticed smoke coming off the emitter. After looking close there appears to be a crack or flaw in the dome. Is there any way to seal it up without making the light look like crap or am I better off just getting another one?

Dedome it? 
I don think you can "repair" the dome, so you are probably better of getting a new one.
