My XR-E based lights are starting to show their age, so I've been looking for a decent way to upgrade them. While XR-E optics aren't optimized for use with other emitters, many of them do well enough, so I'm curious: does anyone make MCPCBs that can adapt from an XR-E solder-pad configuration to an XP-G/Nichia 219 solder pad configuration? It would be super-convenient if such a thing exists.

It would probably be easier to fabricate a aluminum or copper shim to be placed under a XP-G mcpcb. That way it can raise the height of the emitter closer to the reflector.

What size/shape is the XR-E mcpcb? If you can find a xp-g mcpcb of close to the same size then that should be good enough. Of course a steady hand helps as well.;)
