Is the current Preon P0 compatible with Eneloop AAAs?

I am considering the Preon P0 for its firefly mode and wide, diffuse light. In reading about it on CPF, I find some references to incompatibility with Eneloops due to a larger-than-standard anode on the battery. Is this true? Does anyone have experience with a recent copy of the light?

Also: can anyone recommend a good vendor for this light?

Mine seems to work just fine on Eneloop. I bought mine after the redesign.

I bought one for my wife at Blade Show right from the Foursevens table. Works just fine with a AAA Eneloop.

Yes, any newer than the very first run should work fine with eneloops.
