I have a Solarforce L2p. I'm looking for a P60 module that gives good flood. I'm looking for something around 600-800 lumens. Will a SST-90 in a P60 be what I'm looking for? Single 18650 powered.

You can get that output for a lot less money with an XM-L2. The SST-90 scales up to higher output when you can throw a lot of power at it, but if you're using 1x18650 and only looking for 800 lumens, a modestly driven XM-L2 will do the job.

Check out nailbender's thread in the Custom B/S/T area. He makes P60 drop-ins with SST-90, XM-L2, and MC-E emitters, all of which get you a rather floody beam in a P60.

Being that the SST-90 can produce a greater output of light, I was assuming the SST-90 would give better runtime under driven than a XML? Would I be correct?

SST-90 is less efficient than the XM-L2. It can produce more light because it can take more power, but watt-for-watt, the XM-L2 is going to give you the most output.

An xml2 gives 800 lumens with 3 amps or less. An Sst90 would need 5 amps or more to give the same output.

An MTG2 would be more floody and it is efficient. Suggested 6 volts to get its efficiency going good, similar efficiency to an XML but capable of a higher output. 6 volts and 6 amps would get you 2000 lumens, maybe more.
A p60 might not handle the heat very long. Vinh Nyugen has made a couple using copper to help with heat dissipation

I would go for a XM-L2 U2 P60 dropin on copper. Then wrap with copper to fit snugly in your P60 host.
