Surefire g2x tailcap same as g2?

The switches are interchangeable because all lights mentioned below are 1.0 inch diameter Surefire lights. The G2X Tactical switch operates the exact same as the Z41 which is the switch that is on your G2. The G2X Pro switch operates differently with two mode capability.

Not quite. The G2X Pro is a two level light, but, the circuitry is in the head and the tail cap is no different than a G2 tail cap that has been retrofitted with a McClicky.
I'd say it's a yes.

Thanks for the correction. I don't own either version of the G2X I was just trying to figure it out from the Surefire website.
