Can you run a 17670 cell in a light designed for 18650 without problems?

I know runtime wont be up to par but it wont damage the cell will it? Even if the emitter is drive pretty high lile 4.2 amps?

If you center the cell by making a spacer most lights should work--assuming you have a quality cell like AW. Some high-current lights won't work well with less-than-the-best batteries. I would tend to do this only until I could get a charged 18650 into the light.

I guess my main concern is higher drain damaging a smaller cell. Suposedly a 17670 is a good sub for 2xCR123, most 18650 lights will run on 2-cr123, and thus, a 17670, I would think. Good cells are not cheap and I dont want to ruin my AW17670 protected cells.
